I scream, you scream, we all scream for Ice Cream!!

Most of you know that I love ice cream.  In fact, my first job (for 3+ yrs) was at Baskin Robbins!  I still often dream of owning a fanchise someday.  During my childhood my mom would make homemade ice cream every Summer.  Vanilla was tasty but Big Red was my favorite :)  Jarrod and I received a Cuisinart ice cream/yogurt/sorbet maker as a registry gift when we got married (7.5 yrs ago).  After 5 moves we finally decided to take it out of the box.  We made Big Red ice cream and it was delicious!!

We highly recommend trying this recipe out for yourself....you won't be disappointed!  Our machine takes 2 cans of condensed sweetened milk (Eagle Brand or generic) and then fill with Big Red to the top!  Some older machines also require rock salt.  This mixes for about twenty minutes and then must freeze overnight for best results (otherwise you will probably have ice cream soup)!  We can't wait to try all the possibilities.....including Diet coke and Sunkist ice cream!!

Nothing beats the Texas heat quite like this treat:)
