Flying to {MAINE!}

Over Labor day weekend we traveled to Maine for my cousin's wedding festivities!  We had a wonderful time!  Here the kids are awaiting take off....

We had a brief layover in New York.  Our pilot on the second leg of the flight was super kind!  We were the first family to board, he stopped us and invited the kids into the cockpit!  The boys thought it was really neat and Hudson just wanted to push the buttons ;)

Emma is 12.5!

Happy {HALF} Birthday to our favorite girl!  She celebrated with her first week of cheer camp :)

Emma is joyful, thoughtful, creative, easy-going, creative and is lots of fun to be around!  She is a peacemaker and has lots of patience with her little brothers ;)

She is looking forward to a summer full of swimming, church camp, strength/conditioning and travel.

I canNOT believe she will be a teenager in six short months.  We are so proud of the young woman she is quickly becoming!

Horse Show 2019

This weekend Hudson enjoyed taking part in the REACH horse show 2019!!

There were three hippotherapy participants and each of them got to take home an impressive ribbon :)  So proud of our boy and thankful for Ms Holly's expertise and patience!

Hudson is 4!

Happy {4th} Birthday to our Hudson!!  He is now 31 lbs, measures 2'9" tall and wears size 4/5T.  He is loved by so many :)

He is usually happy-go-lucky unless his request of "more waffle" is declined, it is naptime OR someone changes his favorite TV show (Splash & Bubbles on PBS)!!  He eats pretty much anything, but his faves include grilled cheese, peanut butter "sammiches", fruit gummies, strawberries, pizza, cookies, crackers and cheese blocks!

We celebrated at the Mayborn Museum - Mickey Mouse Clubhouse style, of course!!  H
is favorite parts are the train display, dinosaur, fire truck and buffalo upstairs 😋

He LOVES music of all kinds! A highlight of the week is Mr Wayne who plays the guitar in his Sunday School class. He sings the songs ALL week and knows most of the words by heart. His faves include "I'm in the Lord's Army" and "B-I-B-L-E"! He also likes the baby Shark song and Wheels on the Bus.
His favorite part about school days (besides seeing his little friends, of course!) is seeing the city buses and elevators around campus.  He has a love/hate relationship with elevators.  He becomes very nervous about boarding them in fear of the loud 'beep'.

He can count beyond ten and can recite the entire alphabet (when he wants to!) He is currently working on identifying colors and scissor skills.  He attends (and loves!) his Baylor speech preschool 4 mornings a week and ROCKS a crazy busy therapy schedule including PT, OT, feeding & hippotherapy. 🐴

He talks all.the.time now and his newest phrases include "push the button", "Mama help you" (when he needs help), "Shhh, you be quiet" (as he puts his index finger to lips), "I go roll over dere" (Put me in my wheelchair).  He says "be right back" when he wants someone to leave.  He says "here it comes" and "isss not working" while I try to put on his TV shows.  He says "I'm crying" and "I'm so sad" to warn us about his feelings.  For peekaboo he says "kipaboo", and he uses two syllables for the words 'truck' and tweet tweet'.  He has also recently learned to identify his elbows + belly button.
He is such a JOY and it's hard to believe he is 4!  Each night my prayer is that he is brave, content and strong in all circumstances in life :)
